A couple of weeks ago I had the amazing privilege of spending an afternoon photographing and hanging out with one of my all time idols and influencers, and the man Transworld Skateboarding named the most influential skateboarder of all time, Mark “The Gonz” Gonzales. Writer, Anthony Pappalardo, and I spent a couple of hours in The Gonz’s studio in lower manhattan where we talked skating, art, bar fights, his new collab with Snoop Dogg and adidas Skateboarding, and helped him stick arrows into a vintage Vivienne Westwood hat…because…Gonz.

Took advantage of the wonderful effects of global warming during this warm February to get out and do some skating and shooting around Brooklyn with my friend Greg Theophall this weekend. Enjoy.
Some friends of mine recently built a mini ramp in the basement of their apartment in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Aside from being an awesome place to skateboard with friends in the winter time, its also a great photo-op. A truly homemade mini: plywood with duct-tape patched holes, coping found on the street, and the possibility of 3″ splinters, this ramp is no joke.
