Beach Fossils for Monster Children

I had the pleasure of shooting the enigmatic Beach Fossils backstage at a recent concert at NYC’s Terminal 5 for a new interview in Monster Children Magazine, by my long time friend and collaborator, Anthony Pappalardo. The interview is up now and you can read it here.

Sibling Rivalry

Incredibly excited to announce my new book: Sibling Rivalry – the premier publication from Duke’s Editions, the publishing arm of the newly launched Duke’s Distribution.

Through a dynamic series of black and white photographs of professional and amateur skateboarders and musicians from across the globe, Sibling Rivalry depicts how skateboarding and punk culture are inescapably intertwined, and plays with the concept of each subject as a sibling vying for the attention of their parent: the photographer.

Excited to share this cover for “Theory of Movement”, an upcoming album from new label Duke’s Distribution, and producers Grant and Dan Piu.  The cover features an outtake photo of Takahiro Morita captured while shooting for my zine, Sakura. Vans x Our Legacy

Growing up, skating and punk were synonymous. Last weekend in London, Vans debuted a new capsule collection with Swedish brand OUR LEGACY, inspired by 90s hardcore. Celebrating the release, Youth Of Today performed an intimate show at an art gallery in London’s Soho. To work with icons from both of those worlds simultaneously was awesome. More photos and the full story are up now at Paper Magazine.

Check out all of my favorites here: colegiordano.com/vans-x-our-legacy

Thank you Vans and Jockum of Our Legacy for inviting me to be a part of it.

Soaker Promo for Wharfcat Records

Brooklyn based “punk, noise rock, [and] art-damaged sludge metal” band Soaker released their debut 7″ on Wharfcat Records today. These guys are great friends of mine, so I was stoked when they came to me with this out-there idea for a promo photo, which we had way too much fun working on.

You can read an amazingly sardonic interview with the band over at CLRVYNT, listen to their single from the record, Sendhi,  on AdHoc, AND you can order yourself a copy from Wharfcat’s website here.

Congrats dudes!

Rockaway’s Music Scene is at Hightide – Brooklyn Magazine

rockawaymusic_redlightdistrict_aug2016-106

Probably one of my favorite assignments of the year so far – the beach and a sweaty DIY show in Far Rockaway. Read the whole story shot, for Brooklyn Magazine here, and check out some more summer longing in my latest portfolio, by the sea.
